Where am I going wrong?
26
This is a question I get very often as a traffic exchange admin, See lots of people use traffic exchanges but just do not use them the correct way.
I have what could be described as the best selection of tools available from any traffic exchange admin/owner and yet people just do not listen and still then come back and ask why its not working for them.
Im going to sum up the norm that most people who are asking are actually doing.
They join 50 traffic exchanges, they add a standard 10 minute to read sales page and then surf about 10 mins in each exchange and generate about 20-30 hits to the same standard page that everyone else is promoting at each of the 50 exchanges and then ask why they have not got any results.
Now I have to be blunt now and say if your not going to listen then you may as well turn off your computer and pick up the newspaper and start looking for a real job.
You see, Think about it for a minute. That standard sales page you are promoting, how many times has it been seen and how many times did you see it before you took action. Im willing to bet you came accross it at least twice, right. I mean many people actually see a site about 5 times before joining.
So out of those 20-30 people that came accross the page you was promoting how many joined. None and why? Because only 20 people out of the whole exchange viewed that page once and no one saw it again to join after the second time so my first point is, Do not say it did not work till you have had 2000 people to your page.
My second point is, Oh its a standard affiliate sales page that everyone uses so maybe some people was actually seeing it for the 100th time and to be fair there, if they seen it 100 times and not joined they probably never will, and the ones that did probably had 100 different people promoting the exact same page to them so what chance have you got to get them to join under you.
Ok less of the negative and showing you where you have gone wrong, Lets move on to what you can do to make things right.
Firstly you need to concentrate on a few exchanges at one time and to get the best results maybe you would be better putting your hand in your pocket and buying $10 worth of hits to try your page at each exchange.
Secondly you need your own unique page to promote with. See this is another place I can help with Splash Page Maker is a great tool that lets you build fully hosted splash pages that really stand out. Remember you see sites for about 10 seconds so you have 10 seconds to get people interested. Make them interested with your splash page and have them click through to your sales page. Very few if any will spend 10 mins reading a sales page in a 10 second traffic exchange.
So where are you going to find more information about how to use exchanges the right way, I do have a free book that not many of you have ever read.
Then on top of that I manage one of the best Traffic Exchange Co-ops online where you can get tons of hits spread all over the exchanges. By joining this you will be solving the where to advertise on what exchange problem as we do all that for you. Unfortunatly that will highlight if your page is the right page to promote. Yes people do cancel their co-op membership and 90% of the time it is because they are doing the first big mistake of advertising a big long standard sales page.
So to sum it up,
1) Read my book
3) Advertise in the right places
