Over the last 6 months I have made a lot of changes to my sites so that they focus more on the real reason that advertising sites exist, and it would be nice now to see others take action too.

The changes I made after realizing that the exchange industry had been changing for the worse started a couple of years back when I limited surfing and removed all the cash rewards for surfing etc.

You see the real point of a Traffic Exchange and any free advertising resource is actually right there in the name.

With 99% of the changes now made I just wanted to recap for those that are still confused why it was the right time to change things.

I still get the odd ticket with people unsure why I changed things and why what a few call so drastic changes like removing the affiliate programs even though most people have researched the issues and fully understand it so I just wanted to take a moment to address why to those that may still seem confused or not too happy about it.

Due to some big changes in the industry over the last 4 months I have made some big decisions and that involves restructuring my business to make sure that it keeps moving forward into the future.

There is a lot of speculation as to why a certain payment processor decided to not want to do business with a lot of sites in this industry but the main problem I am having is the refusal of UK merchant accounts and other payment options because of the site being a service and also an opportunity.

So unless you have been hiding under a rock for the last month you will know that a major Payment Processor decided to stop doing business with the advertising industry but what caused this?

Firstly I spoke to a lady from Payza who pointed out a few things when they categorised a couple of my sites as multi level sites when they are all strictly one level direct referral programs so I asked why.

It turns out that Payment Processors and Credit Card companies have decided this area of business is high risk and therefore the reason for Payza categorising us as M L M was because that category has higher fees and thats whats applicable now to sites with higher risk.
