You may by now have got the gist that I am very big on trying to improve results in Traffic Exchanges.

Still many argue that results have not gone down but that is simply not true, You see a result to me promoting my programs is when someone joins that program and it takes a lot more credits now than it did a few years back to get each signup.

In fact my stats show that on average and this is with checking my tracking and mainly using the traffic exchanges that produce better results that it takes about 5 times as much traffic to get a result.

So here is the third in my series of the changing times of traffic exchanges.

In this post we will look at getting to know your TE target market and why it matters and what knowing in can do to help you.

As talked about before there are not different sorts of Traffic Exchanges in the sense of what services they provide and the type of people they attract.

So to recap, there are those that give out little cash prizes and or pay cash amounts for surfing a number of pages etc, these will be attractive to people who surf for cash or like paid to click things and are happy to earn a few cents a day at each site by hitting a goal.

This is the second post in the series of posts I wanted to put out there about traffic exchanges.

The last post I made, an introduction to this series left a few people unhappy or confused. I did mention it was only an introduction and as the few posts in this series go on you will see what was meant when I expand on a few things.

Less Targeting = Lower Results is a fact of life in anything done with marketing. For example if you sell a whats on today guide in London then if you target your ads to people in and around London you will get better results,

Please Note: A few people have expressed concern about how this post sounded lumping together penny clicking and gamification. I would like to point out I included a OR in the post to mean they was different things however both reasons for TE change. In the future posts that this serves as an introduction for it will explain what is meant by they are both changes and clarify that I did not mean they was the same thing and just two different niches and ways some exchanges have gone.

People keep using the word change and mentioning how traffic exchanges have moved on with the times and moving on is something I cant deny has happened but is it for the better?

This is something I have been thinking a lot about over the last couple of years.

Traffic exchanges as the name suggests used to be all about traffic. Now the focus seems to be more on both cash and games and less about what the actual part of the name suggests.
