Well there has been a lot of talk around the TE and Mailer business of change over the last month and half as this PP issue hits more and more sites and even those that have not been hit have seen a massive down turn in sales and activity and this then raises a point of what do you think should change in our area of business.

I am someone who always has strong views on a variety of things and after doing a lot of research into this as you will see from the last couple of posts I believe now is the time to change things for the better so lets start with what do I think should change.

So unless you have been hiding under a rock for the last month you will know that a major Payment Processor decided to stop doing business with the advertising industry but what caused this?

Firstly I spoke to a lady from Payza who pointed out a few things when they categorised a couple of my sites as multi level sites when they are all strictly one level direct referral programs so I asked why.

It turns out that Payment Processors and Credit Card companies have decided this area of business is high risk and therefore the reason for Payza categorising us as M L M was because that category has higher fees and thats whats applicable now to sites with higher risk.

When launching your own Mailer or Traffic exchange can owners at least put some kind of effort into the site.

This is something that really bugs me especially when I open Skype or a Support Ticket and see that someone would like me to promote their site, or swap credits or upgrades and then I wander over to take a look and what do I find…

Using the standard theme, the same as everyone else, You know the one with the different coloured horizontal sections down the page where they have literally just bought a cheap basic header and footer image and thrown it in and changed the coloured strips.

So while many traffic exchanges pay people for surfing and that is seen as the way to go to keep an exchange moving and growing I as always like to do things a little differently.

You see we need a balance of not just advertisers but also some surfers to look at those ads, New people coming in to see the ads you all show. Sometimes it is required to have little cash bribes as people can just go to another Traffic Exchange and surf one that does bribe them.

I mean we don’t feel the need to bribe the advertisers as we are very happy with the results generated here for those buying credits or surfing to show their sites.
