As a follow on to my raised points about a standard out of the box site just not cutting it. I have been helping a few others make their sites better.

One thing that has popped up is that a lot of owners of Traffic Exchanges and Mailers just do not know how to edit their site or even how to use cPanel to get to the websites coding.

I am not able to go through all the things you can edit inside the scripts code to make yourself better but I can address the issue of learning the basics of using cPanel.

If you own a LFMTE or LFMVM site then you may have come across a question from a member that they have tried to claim a Promo Code or a Surf Code but it says it has been claimed but does not show on the claim page as recently claimed codes.

The reason is the script only shows codes claimed within the last year (I think within a year but it has been so long since I changed mine I cant remember the default). All other codes do not show on that page so if you had a say welcome bonus code after a year they might look on the claimed page and think they have not claimed it but then when they try it would tell them they have.

I have noticed a lot of other owners request an update to the LFMTE script that would add extra months to the Startpage or Spotlight calendar on actually both the LFMTE script and also the LFMVM.

I have some instructions on how you can simply do this yourself below.

The instructions are for the LFMTE startpage however the area which you duplicate is pretty much the same on the spotlight.php page that features in both the TE and Mailer script so if you wish to edit that you will need to copy the similar area that is shown within the blue commas from the spotlight.php file as the wording changes from startpage to spotlight.
