I have noticed a lot of other owners request an update to the LFMTE script that would add extra months to the Startpage or Spotlight calendar on actually both the LFMTE script and also the LFMVM.

I have some instructions on how you can simply do this yourself below.

The instructions are for the LFMTE startpage however the area which you duplicate is pretty much the same on the spotlight.php page that features in both the TE and Mailer script so if you wish to edit that you will need to copy the similar area that is shown within the blue commas from the spotlight.php file as the wording changes from startpage to spotlight.

First lets have a little look at what it looks like, Here is the 1 extra month as shown on my login blast page from inside my members area here.

1 extra month

and then here is the 2 extra months as shown at Just Good Traffic startpage page.

2 extra months

So all you need to do is open up the file called buycredits.php and look for the part of code shown on the image below.

Startpage code

The part we are actually duplicating is between the blue commas however if your adding one month it is just a case of duplicating that but if adding 2 months then you need to add the new line part. So to make it easy I have added here these 2 files that you can just copy and paste the text from.

You want to add the text where the pink star is (You can see on image of above code I have hit enter a couple of times to make a gap to put it in)

Code for the 1 extra month is here

Code for the 2 extra months is here

That is it all you need to do then is hit save or update or upload the revised file depending on where your editing it and your site now has an extra month or two on the calendar.

Now from my examples you will be able to see that I have changed the color of the month name and some text and box sizes and thats easily done in the spstyle.css file (On my example I added 2 px to each text size and made the boxes 25 instead of 20 in width and height and then I added underline to the month name and day name) This however is completely optional and only affects the look and not the functions of the changes.

I hope that this has been helpful to you and if so please leave a comment and if you really appreciate it you can always buy me a beer here

Thanks Steve, I’m sure this will help a lot of owners. A few seem afraid to go into cpanel but I tell them this is the best way to learn! Just always have a backup copy of the file your working on so you can replace it quickly if you mess up.
